Pay attention to the clock so you know approximately how long it is before the bell is going to ring.
Keeping your things organized, not messy, will help you be ready to get to your next class.
If you don't have your schedule memorized on the first day, it's okay, just carry your schedule with you.
When you're at home doing homework it is a good idea to start with the homework from the classes that you have first to make sure you have that done the next day for the class, other classes later in the day can be done that night if you have enough time or during the classes that the homework has already been done in.
